So, the Washington Post has a format for their obituaries that lists the deceased name followed by a one or two word description of their profession, avocation, hobby, etc., followed by the actual obit. For example:
Joe Moneybags
Banker
or
Jane Law
Lawyer
or
Thomas Edison
Inventor
Edward Patten, a member of Gladys Knight & The Pips, died last Friday at the age of 65. As I was scanning the obits on Saturday morning, I saw his listing:
Edward Patten
Pip
Um, Pip? Wouldn’t “musician” be more appropriate? I hope the Post rethinks this format before the next member of Iggy and the Stooges dies
