Bridesmaids
Heather Davis
Heather and Anne met in an art history class during their first week of college at Winthrop University in Rock Hill, SC. Heather admits now that the first thing she noticed about Anne was her funny shoes. That was back in the day when those faux-cowboy-boot shoes were in. (Well, at least Anne thought they were in.) During their junior year, Heather and Anne went on student exchange to the University of York, England, togetherwhere they discovered pints and darts on school nights at the local pubs. How British. In addition to being an incredibly loyal friend to Anne, Heather is an honorary member of the Wallin family. She lives in Greensboro, North Carolina, where she is finishing a Master's degree in counseling.
Casey Long
Anne met Casey at Winthrop, too. They lived together for a summer in Washington, DC, where Casey introduced Anne to Mark. So, Casey pretty much deserves the credit for this whole event be sure to thank her when you see her. She LOVES to play intricately-woven practical jokes, and she's about the most gracious person you've ever met. Oh, and we've voted her "most likely to be seen at the karaoke bar across the street from the hotel in Knoxville." Casey now lives in Atlanta, Georgia, where she's a reference librarian at Georgia State University.
Julie Dennehy
Julie is also an alumna of the Mickey Leland Hunger Fellows Program. She and Anne bonded while working for crazy people at a DC nonprofit organization, and have been good friends ever since. (Nothing like common enemies to bring you together.) Julie has a great Boston accent Anne doesn't let her forget it. And she makes the best Christmas cookies ever. After spending several years in Maine, Julie has recently moved back to Boston, where she works as researcher for Wellesley College.
Amy Casteñeda
Amy is one of Mark's long-term best friends -- they've known each other since their sophomore year in high-school. Though they dated in high school, their friendship managed to survive that trauma and persists to this day
. Mark served as a bridesmaid in Amy's wedding (and looked pretty good in the dress). Amy lives outside of Columbus, Ohio with her husband Ed.
